This Opal Is Set Within a 9ct Yellow Gold Traditional Double Four Claw Setting With an Open Back, Split Shoulders Lead Down to a Solid Band.

This Genuine Opal Has Amazing Natural Bands of Colours Including Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blues Playing in The Light at Various Angles.

The Lines That Can Be Seen Between The Colours Are Natural Potch - Sand Lines Within The Opal.

Opal is Formed From a Solution of Silicon Dioxide and Water. As Water Ran Down Through the earth, Silica is Picked up From Sandstone, and Carries The Silica-Rich Solution into Cracks and Voids Which Have Been Caused by Natural Faults or Decomposing Fossils. As the Water Evaporates, it Leaves Behind the Silica Deposit.

The Opal Would Have Originated From Lightning Ridge in Australia.
